An ESOP is an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. Generally speaking, it is a retirement plan that allows employees to become owners of this great company. ESOPs are often established as a trust, which holds shares on behalf of employees. As employees accrue years of service, they earn shares in the trust, gradually increasing their ownership stake in the company. At Whitaker Construction, it takes you seven years to become fully-vested in our ESOP.
