  • Supervise the front office, support the administrative staff, answer phone calls, field client questions, speak with vendors, maintain calendars, take, and distribute messages.

  • Support most aspects of accounting management including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, etc.

  • Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with company policies and established best practices.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.

  • Manage journal entries, invoices, etc. Prepare and reconcile accounts for monthly or annual closing.

  • Assist with payroll tracking and submittal.

  • Process permit applications.

  • Filing documents as related to company projects.

  • Request insurance certificates for projects and maintain up to date liability insurance certificates for sub-contractors.

  • Maintain contract records.

  • Review job schedules, and job progress.

  • Compile data required for reports.

  • Understanding of federal and state employment regulations.

  • Monitor and maintain files for new hire paperwork, drug testing, job applications, etc.

  • Human Resource duties including assisting employees with benefits enrollment and compliance.

  • Assist with new employee orientation and onboarding.

  • Scheduling and managing appointments.

  • Updating information in company database.

  • Manage and monitor office supplies, and place orders when necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by supervisors.



  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Those with an education and/or work-related credential from a secondary or post-secondary educational system will be given preferred interview status (Precision Exams, NOCTE, etc.).

  • 2-3 years of experience in a construction office environment.

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes including budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Proficient with QuickBooks.

  • Ability to type 40 words per minute.

  • Strong attention to detail including good analytical and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Find potential issues ahead of time and be able to problem solve.

  • Effectively work under pressure and prioritize duties.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Display a willingness to adapt, learn and grow, according to the needs of the company.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to get to and from work.
